This facility in Long Beach, CA is typical of locales that are ignored by all except those who have business there, yet they captivate me. The cavernous “coke barns” can be a quarter mile long with its own underground and overhead conveyor system. The unusual light and the darkest of shadows makes for intriguing “landscapes”.
